What to put on a pasta restaurant menu

    Pasta

Before you print the QR code

  • Every pasta names its shape and its sauce.
  • Gluten-free pasta, if you offer it, says if it's cooked in separate water.
  • Dishes for two, like the bistecca, say so and give the weight.

Questions about a pasta restaurant menu

Should pasta be a starter or a main?

In Italy it's a first course before meat or fish. Many guests elsewhere order it as their main, so make the portion big enough.

How many pastas should I offer?

Five or six, with at least one vegetarian. Each shape needs its own prep, so more slows the kitchen.

Should I say the pasta is fresh or dried?

If it's made in house, yes. Dried pasta isn't worse, so you don't need to hide it.
